Brenda Faye Craig, 75, of Preston, Mississippi passed on Friday, March 1, 2024 from her residence in Kemper County, Mississippi. Graveside Services will be held 11:00 A.M. Saturday, March 9, 2024 from Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery in Dekalb, Mississippi. Visitation will be held 4:00 P.M. - 6:00 P.M. Friday, March 8, 2024, from Beck Funeral Home Dekalb. Beck Funeral Home Dekalb is in charge of all arrangements.
Brenda Faye Craig graduated from Ackerman High School in Ackerman, MS; Rust College in Holly Springs, MS, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Social Work. After college she worked in the Choctaw County School System in Ackerman, MS. She was a dedicated and respected educator in the Kemper County School System for 18 years before her retirement at the age of 65.
Brenda Faye Craig was married to the late Mr. Roy Craig, a native of Kemper County, MS for thirty-seven (37) years. She leaves to cherish her memory, her daughter, Monica Craig; one grandson, Caleb Wyatt; special friend, Luke Rush of Dekalb, Mississippi; three brothers, Jeffery Kennedy of Chicago, Illinois, Bruce Brooks of Moses, Alabama, and John Paul Brown of Ackerman, MS; four sisters, Debbie Edwards of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Casey Batson (John) of Chicago, Illinois, Ramona Brooks of Chicago, Illinois and Frances Hemphill of Ackerman, MS; three nephews, Nijer Edwards of Philadelphia, PA, Darrion Taylor, and Armon Shepard both of Dallas, Texas; four nieces, Tiffany Howse and Mallori Walker of Dallas, Texas, Kristina Staniszeski of Munster, Indiana and Vitoria Kennedy, Sao Paulo, Brazil; an uncle, Charlie Brown (Patricia) of Maryland; an aunt, Mildred Walker of Cleveland, Ohio, and host of cousins and friends.
