Catherine Smith

Catherine Smith, 79, of Louisville, MS., passed on Thursday, January 30, 2025 at her home. Funeral Service will be Saturday, February 8, 2025 at 11 a.m., from the Bethel M. B. Church, 5559 Crystal Ridge Road, Louisville, MS. Visitation will be Friday from 4 until 6 p.m., from the Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Church Cemetery. Beck Funeral Home of Louisville in charge of arrangements.

Catherine was born April 26, 1945 to the parents of Oliver Wooten and Clara Doss Wooten in Winston County Mississippi.

Catherine was preceded  in death by her parents, Oliver and Clara Bell Wooten; husband, Robert Lee Smith; sisters, Ida Mae Ferguson, Elmer Pearl Sanders, Zennie Bell Coleman, Rosezell Bender, and Elmer Ree Lampkin; brothers, Unior "Pap" Wooten, John Wooten (Diane), and Oliver "Roger" Wooten, Jr.; and a special sister-in-law, Cornelia Smith Sherrod (Robert).

Catherine leaves to cherish her memory her loving daughter, Kathy Renee Smith; sisters, Ethel Edwards and Callie White; brothers, Junior "Jack" Wooten, Silver "Jimmy" Wooten and Ernest Lee Wooten; and nieces who were like daughters- Bobbie Haynes and Georgia Moore. Catherine will also be cherished and truly missed by dozens of nieces, nephews, family, friends, neighbors and the Bethel, Crystal Ridge and Ellison Ridge Communities;
