Charles Eddie Gaddis, 71, of Dekalb, Mississippi passed on Thursday, May 2, 2024 from John C. Stennis Memorial Hospital in Dekalb, Mississippi. Funeral Services will be held 2:00 P.M. Friday, May 10, 2024 from New Vision M.B. Church in Dekalb, Mississippi. Burial will follow in Beulah Baptist Church Cemetery in Dekalb, Mississippi. Visitation will be held 4:00 P.M. - 6:00 P.M. Thursday, May 9, 2024 from Beck Funeral Home Dekalb. Beck Funeral Home Dekalb is in charge of all arrangements.
Charles E. Gaddis was born April 27, 1953 to the late Girthree and Leroy Gaddis in Dekalb, MS. Charles attended Whiston High School. He was employed by the City of Dekalb, Louisiana Pacific and later started working for himself at K&G repair shop.
Charles was an awesome son, brother, father, grandfather, nephew and uncle. Charles loved being a mechanic, a great one at that. He loved to watch Gun Smoke, Bonanza, Sanford & Son and In the Heat of the Night. He loved those afternoon naps once he had his lunch. On May 1, 2024 he confessed his life to Christ. Charles was the tenth of ten children.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Girthree and Leroy Gaddis, five siblings, Roger Lee Gaddis, Freddie Dale Gaddis, Johnny Gaddis, Lamar Hull, and Marceline Steele.
Charles Gaddis leaves to cherish his memories of love and life; four children, Katina Powe (Ken) of Dekalb, MS, Charles C. Gaddis of Huntsville, AL, Kia N. Gaddis of Dekalb, MS, Kaleb J. Gaddis of College Station, TX; five grandchildren, Kentrell Powe, Katerika Powe, Andrea Jones ,Khloe Davis all of Dekalb, MS, Dax Gaddis of Marion, MS; one brother, Carl Gaddis of Meridian, MS; four sister, Ernestine Hull, Reetha Holliday, Esther Donald, and Mertis Payton all of Dekalb, MS; one brother in law, Luke Steele of Dekalb; one aunt, Emma Holton of Cleveland, Oh; one special friend, Mildred Bourrage and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
