Curtis Steele Austin

Curtis Steele Austin, 76, of Louisville, MS., passed on Sunday, December 15, 2024 at Louisville Health Care Center, Louisville, MS. A memorial service will be conducted at a later date by the Family.

Curtis was born to the parents of Charles Cooper and Idell Gill on May 21, 1948 in Winston County Mississippi.

He was preceded in death by; parents, Charles and Idell; siblings, Christine Steele, Bobbie Nell Gill, Billy Cooper, Leon Cooper, Charlie Cooper, Lee Cooper, Homer Cooper and Lue Eller Cooper. 

He is survived by; Rebecca Lee Austin, his wife of 52 years and his children: Chevelle Hall, Primas Hall, Vernita Avery (Lewis), Tatasha Austin, Curtis (Megan) Austin, II, and Chaquastia Austin; 26 grandchildren. Siblings: Wilma (Jim) Veasley, Lois Steele, Billy Ray Steele, William Earl (Evelyn) Steele, Ida (Terry) Miller and Clara Cooper and James (Dianne) Cooper. A host of nieces, nephews, Cousins and other relatives and friends.
