Mrs. Francis Glenn Doss, 95, of Louisville, MS., passed on Sunday, August 25, 2024 at the Neshoba County Nursing Home, Philadelphia, MS. Funeral Service will be Saturday, September 7, 2024 at 11 a.m., from Mount Pleasant #1 Missionary Baptist Church, 2058 Evergreen Road, Louisville, MS. Visitation will be Friday, Sept. 6, 2024 from 4 until 6 p.m. from the Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Webster Cemetery, Louisville, MS.
Mrs. Doss was born December 25, 1928 to the parents of Cleveland Lynch and Katie Welch Lynch in Winston County Mississippi.
Mrs. Doss was a faithful member of the Mount Pleasant #1 Missionary Baptist Church. She was known for her excellence in cooking.
Mrs. Doss was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Willie B. Lynch, Guy Lynch, John Lynch, Umer D. Lynch, Nicholas Willie Lynch, De Calvin Lynch, and Marvin Lynch; sisters, Virgie Baker, Mary Shadwick, Ora Lynch, Velma Lynch, and Jane Coburn; children, Joseph Glenn, Jr. and Mary Joyce Smith; step-children, Herman Doss, Thomas Doss, Gus Doss, Lee Doss, Sherman Doss and Bennie Nicholson; and grandson, Delvin Glenn.
She is survived by children, Katie Freeman, Bertha Eiland, Ollie (Rev. William) Haynes, Clara Pearl Wilson, Alice Faye Smith, Delinda (Anthony) Legemah and Kendrick (Calandra) Doss; step-children, Charlie Doss, Nancy (Howard) Ford, Glennie (Tommie) Eiland, and Larry (Ophelia) Doss; and a host of grandchildren, great grands, great great grands, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends
