Michael D. Steele, 61, of Union, Mississippi passed on Monday, May 8, 2023 from his residence in Newton County, Mississippi. Funeral Services will be held 1:00 P.M. Friday, May 19, 2023 from Springhill M.B. Church in Union, Mississippi. Burial will follow in Springhill M.B. Church Cemetery. Visitation will be held 11:30 A.M. - 12:45 P.M. Friday, May 19, 2023 from Springhill M.B. Church. Beck Funeral Home Philadelphia is in charge of all arrangements.

Michael D. Steel was preceded in death by his daughter, Kaylum Nichols and his brother, Gilbert Lamar Hunter. Mr. Steel leaves to cherish his memories his daughter, Yunika Gill of Louisville, MS, bonus daughter Shadina Fincher of Cleveland Ohio, bonus daughters, Sabrina Fincher and Cilina Gill of Philadelphia, MS; 5 sisters; Betty Hunter of Moss Point, MS, Ola Slaughter of Richmond, VA, Vera Hunter of Killeen, TX, Debbie Steel of Moss point, MS, and Keeisher (Roy) Wilson of Gautier, MS; a devoted niece, Bethany Wilson of Union, MS; a devoted nephew, Matthew Hunter of Conehatta, MS; 12 grandchildren; 3 great grand children; his best friend, Bobby Campbell; special neighbors, Deborah and Willie Sandifer and Willie Mae Smith along with a host of nieces, nephews and other family members.
